FIREMOON RADIO is a satellite sound clinic that began as a self-guided residency initiative. In 2024 during a deeply internal and creative/professional hiatus in Los Angeles, Jazzy Charles practiced channeling musical messages through violin, viola, cello and voice.

Offering her gifts of improvisation, sonic influences are from Appalachian bluegrass, spiritual jazz, and psychedelic rock. Each “session”, usually lasting from 10 to 20 minutes, is recorded with a 360 camera and edited to last approximately an hour. Melodies flow with the language of birds and water, nuances of brass horn textures, and sometimes several instruments are played at once, as above.

The personal devotion to this was ultimately nervous system regulation. The decision to upload this work publicly was in response to a telepathic request by the world around us.
